Eta University is proud to celebrate a milestone moment, our very first enrollee of the Fall 2025 In10sive Cohort! Please join us in welcoming Cynthia James of Ohio, who will be stepping into this season of growth, learning, and transformation with us.
Who is Cynthia James?
Cynthia is a passionate community advocate and mother of two who has dedicated much of her life to supporting women navigating difficult circumstances. From volunteering at local shelters to leading small group Bible studies, Cynthia has always been drawn to spaces where compassion and faith intersect. Her Ohio hometown has seen her serve faithfully in both her church and local non-profit organizations, where she is known for her warmth, empathy, and leadership.
Why Faith’s First Aid Kit?
When asked why she chose to enroll in our upcoming fall course, Faith’s First Aid Kit: Responding to Crisis with Calm & Compassion, Cynthia shared that she has been seeking new ways to respond when life’s emergencies arise. “I’ve been the person friends and family call when something goes wrong,” she explained. “But I realized that while my heart was willing, I didn’t always have the tools to provide meaningful support, spiritually or practically. This course feels like God’s answer to that need.”
Cynthia believes that learning to combine emergency response skills with biblical wisdom will help her serve her community on a deeper level. She hopes to gain confidence in moments of crisis, whether that means offering emotional first aid, guiding someone spiritually, or simply being a steady presence when others are overwhelmed.
A Life-Changing Opportunity
For Cynthia, joining Eta University’s In10sive Cohort is more than just another class. It is the beginning of a journey that she believes will change her life. She sees this opportunity as preparation for both ministry and everyday life. “I know the Lord is equipping me through this program,” Cynthia said. “I want to be ready not just for my family, but for anyone He places in my path.”
We are honored to have Cynthia James as the first member of our Fall 2025 In10sive Cohort, and we can’t wait to see how God uses her as she completes Faith’s First Aid Kit. Her story is a beautiful reminder of why Eta University exists: to empower individuals with knowledge, skills, and faith to impact the world around them.
