Summary This interactive two-day workshop demystifies Artificial Intelligence and shows you, step-by-step, how AI systems are trained in the real world. You’ll learn the essentials (AI vs. ML vs. Deep Learning), explore the full training lifecycle (from problem framing to deployment), practice with approachable, no-code exercises, and analyze case studies across industries. You’ll leave with a clear playbook, ready-to-use templates, and the confidence to explain and apply responsible AI training practices. What You’ll Learn Explain what AI is, and isn’t, and where it shows up in everyday tools Compare supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning (with examples) Follow the AI training lifecycle: problem → data → model → evaluation → deployment Use core evaluation metrics (accuracy, precision/recall) and avoid overfitting Identify and mitigate common risks (bias, privacy, transparency) Practice training a simple model using a no-code tool Build an action plan to apply AI training concepts in your context Who Should Attend Educators, team leads, non-technical professionals, and emerging practitioners who want a practical, jargon-light path to understanding and teaching AI training concepts. No prior coding experience required. Agenda at a Glance Day 1: Foundations, How AI Learns, Training Lifecycle, Metrics, Ethics Day 2: Hands-On Model Training (no-code), Case Studies, Implementation Planning, Knowledge Check Included Materials Participant handbook & worksheets Case studies & activity pack Assessment Glossary and curated resource list Technical Requirements Laptop with a modern web browser Reliable internet connection Trainer Information Jameelah “Meelah” Lowery AI Workshop Trainer & Facilitator Expertise in Artificial Intelligence training and instructional design.
